AERIAL ARTILLERY

"Aerial Artillery" is a 14-mission, single player, scripted campaign in which the pilot will fly the Ju 87D-3 STUKA in the Caucasus Mountains during the German struggle to take Tuapse from September-October 1942.  The Stuka was heavily used as "aerial artillery" since the mountainous terrain was so difficult to deploy the usual heavy artillery.

 

All missions have an objective target and when it is achieved then it will be a successful "Mission Accomplished" and the pilot continues to the next mission.

A/I aircraft include:  I-16, La-5 series8, P-40E, Bf 109G-2.

Missions are AIRSTART.

File order is:  IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles > data > Campaigns > AerialArtillery

Note for future Sim updates:  Whenever Great Battles is updated, mission files get broken and must be updated, again and again, rendering them unplayable.  In order to fix the missions, open the IL-2 Sturmovik Mission Editor... in the TOOLS dropdown list, choose "Resave All Missions in Folder" and navigate to the Campaigns and/or Missions folder in your computer (IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles/data/Campaigns) and click "OK".
