Note for future Sim updates:  Whenever Great Battles is updated, mission files get broken and must be updated, again and again, rendering them unplayable.  In order to fix the missions, open the IL-2 Sturmovik Mission Editor... in the TOOLS dropdown list, choose "Resave All Missions in Folder" and navigate to the Campaigns and/or Missions folder in your computer (IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles/data/Campaigns) and click "OK".

Rangers in P-40s is a 15-mission single player scripted campaign in which the Player will fly the P-40E-1 on the Kuban map.  Missions are from November 1942 - January 1943.  The time period is from the end of the German offensive to take Tuapse to their withdrawal to the Kuban River.

(I had the idea of a squadron roaming over the wilderness, much like the Texas Rangers against the native Comanche warriors, and this is the result).

 

*Notes:  

A mission is completed when the player lands back at his home airfield.  So, even if targets are not destroyed, if you make it back alive, then you have accomplished the mission!  If target objectives are completed then it is not necessary to make a landing.

Most missions start on the runway with engine running.  Some missions must taxi to the runway.

Must have Battle of Kuban for the Map and the P-40E collector plane.
