Okay - I'll avoid rampant speculation.

Too late man! now I am hyped 😁

I’m in! I’m in! 🤠

”Founder’s Edition” bought. 💪🏻😎

Anyway, the news is technically under embargo until three hours from now when the announcement goes up! But if people want to start pre-ordering, I don't think anyone will argue.

Preorder only for store right not for steam? Can steam users get early access to preorder as well?

Brilliant work 1C! Hopefully there will be some form of early access prior to 'Spring 2026' :classic_biggrin:

Excellent. Decisions decisions, but I think it'll have to be the founders edition...

Must definitely be a huge thing given the significant price difference between the standard and the founder's edition 🤔

...maybe you'll get transfered to the infantry if you fail in air missions :classic_blush::classic_biggrin:

I think it works out $10 per aircraft for the standard edition. The founders addition adds 5 more aircraft at $12 per aircraft... so the price change is only $2 more per aircraft for the DLC.

This works out to an average price per aircraft of $10.77 (rather than $10) if one gets the founders edition. So I suppose the mysterious "new layer of interaction with the game world" is adds about 77 cents per aircraft...

In any case, not a huge change in prices.

The only change currently listed in the features list is the 2026 DLC - so presumably you can gain most of the features through simply purchasing the DLC. But we should get official confirmation on this.

I suppose that buying the founder's edition is cheaper than buying the standard edition + DLC. At least it should be, I think. I'm absolutelly sure that the DLC will include carriers with the Corsair and probably some british aircraft. I already bought the founder's edition althought I'm usually against pre-order policies. But I have a lot of trust and confidence on 1C.

Is there a way to upgrade standard to founders edition?

Simple, just spend another 140$. Sorry man, couldn´t resist.

I´d contact customer service, ask to refund it and then buy the version you want.

Are we going to need Steam for this? It says on the cart:
- Product with no key for activation on Steam

No, it will be the same as for GB, you get a standalone key if you buy from the site.

For those who preordered IL-2 GB it was given the opportunity to migrate to Steam later. Idk if it will happen, but for sure there is some hope for those who wish to do that.

I usually prefer to buy on the site instead of Steam to give 100% of money to developers and I don't like the kind of monopoly power that Steam has achieved. But I admit that the faster download times and the options of repairing files of steam are useful aspects. Anyway I bought it on 1C website.

What does "a new layer of interaction with the game world" mean ?

It's very strange that they don't mention carriers for the DLC, even though that has already been revealed. But we will have to see whether that new layer of interaction means carriers or something else.

Ah ok.This is from the site though.  I'll wait until it is clearer, no rush to buy.

If they do that I would be happy to pre-order on here. I just want to do what I did with Stalingrad. Base game on Steam and then buy everything from the main store.

I expect it to work the same, given that they will surely use the same system of a shared game engine with unlockable content.

I hope they do it. 🤞
