IL-2.exe Bad Image?

Odd, went to startup IL-2 today after downloading the 7.005 update and was met with this message. Any ideas?

Hi DetCord.  The image in your post isn't showing up at this end, but I think we are having the same problem.  Not sure whether it's due to the latest Il-2 update, or a Windows 11 issue of some sort.  My "Il-2.exe Bad Image" error message refers to the careerProcessor.dll, claims it either isn't designed for windows or contains an error, and suggests I reinstall the programme.  The Error Status given is 0xc0e90002.  I'm also getting an advisory that "Smart App Control" has blocked part of this app.

The strange thing is that the problem seems to be intermittent - the error came up four times running when I hit "Play" on the launcher.  I shut down the PC, restarted and tried again, and everything worked fine.  Exited the sim, tried again, and again got in fine.

Not sure what's going on here, hopefully someone reading this can shed some light on it.  I'm sure we're not the only ones seeing this.

I am not sure if this is releated to your issues, but since one or two weeks
I have to use the default Steam Link:

That I used for many years does not work any more, even when Steam is started and running in the background:

I fixed the issue with my sim (non-Steam version) install.

• 1.) If you're running any mods, no matter what they might be, disable them in JSGME or whatever enabler you are using.
• 2.) If you have the IL-2 Campaign Tracker and Campaign Service Record app installed, uninstall it. Delete the install folder manually.
• 3.) Open the command prompt (right-click, Run as administrator) and type or paste; sfc /scannow into the prompt, check for corrupt sectors. 
• 4.) Download Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. Install or repair C++ suite. This my not be applicable to you but might be so to others having this issue.
• 5.) Restart your OS.
• 6.) If you're on the Steam version verify the integrity of your install and attempt to launch the sim. If you are using the web store version launch the game as you normally would.

If this still isn't resolved and the messages persist after following these steps, manually delete (Steam version only) the files associated with the message (eg Missionmanager.dll, careerProcessor.dll, etc) and verify the integrity of the install.

Thanks for the update, DetCord.  The intermittent IL-2.exe Bad Image message hasn't reappeared on my non-Steam install for the past week, so hopefully that's it.  Will keep your solution in mind if it rears its ugly head again.
