Invisible baloons ?

I have been googling for the answer, but unbelievably, I must be the only one with the issue ? We fly a Free hunt mission and everyone suddenly starts attacking "nothing". When I switch to external view of other pilots I see they attack a balloon. I can't see it . (I fly in VR). Anyone has this issue ?

I have encountered both the WW1 and WW2 balloons and could see them normal, in VR. That was in multiplayer Coop missions created via some Mission-Generator. (i do not know which one) 

I think objects popping in&out of vision is a known problem of IL2 that happens sometimes, though I have never had it happen as bad as other reports describe it. (Sometimes I look at a ship for example, suddendly it is gone and then reappears for few seconds) Also in recordings if you move the free camera or fastforward, sometimes objects will become visible with some delay.
