Help! I lost WinWing Orion 2 throttle input with 7.004

[T_O_A_D]

It works in other flight sims still.

I can reassign it, but it never gives me the curves option or actually works in the game. 

Any Idea?

No, I have not!

I'm about to try and see if Chat GPT can help sort it.

I went through a bunch of steps trying to salvage it and ended up with an uninstall and reinstall, but I still ended up with the same issue. 

If you want, you can try this stuff, but you're liable to end up where I did, and it may be best to just to wait for a patch.

Today I dug out an old hard drive and accessed an older backup version 4.003b, and my right throttle works and gets a curve to tweak, the left throttle assigns, but no curve.

It assigns the right throttle as a joy5_axis_w 

It assigns the left throttle as  a joy5_b112/joy5-b112

Ok, so I copied and pasted the old version 4.003b onto my PC and updated it to 7.004. Throttle 1 will work in the single-engine aircraft.  But in the Mosquito, it actually runs the left throttle inside the pit. So on the Orion, the right throttle is the left on in the pit, and the left Orion throttle assigns, but at full throttle in the aircraft, and no movement happens in-game. At least I can fly the fighters now. 

I have no idea why this made it work, and the complete reinstall did not. 

 

This is still consistent from 4.003b to 7.004

It assigns the right throttle as a joy5_axis_w 

It assigns the left throttle as  a joy5_b112/joy5-b112

Ok with more futzing, GPT, and I found that if you just barely move the throttle super slow, the game will assign the axis. in my old, carried-over version. But in-game, the left and right in the Pe-2, Mosquito, are swapped to my Orion 2

 

The brand new install yesterday still will not see the axis
