I didn’t even realize the Corsair isn’t in the initial release 😢

 

It will be cool to finally get some carrier action, should help with the next game!

I'm actually glad it doesn't come out for a few months as gives me a chance to the play the hell out of S+L first when that is fully released.

There are a lot of features that I wanted in GB, that will be in Korea. If the devs are reading this, i would love to see some more options for briefings in scripted campaigns. The ability to add multiple images, or embed audio/video, or separate briefing content in relevant sections/tabs.

Steam will surely come in the future! 

So far, the team usually does not put early access on Steam (Odessa and Leningrad) but it's a new game and we need to wait. It will come for sure. Nobody can play yet so nobody misses anything!

Hello!

It's a different engine, so a different .exe. This is Il-2 Series and up to now we had Il-2 Great Battles.

New releases will add up to this.

What i understood from DD, it is same engine but upgraded. But yes, .exe is different

What does "- Product with no key for activation on Steam" exactly mean?

So is the game unlike Great Battle only available through steam now and no longer stand alone or is it just the activation that needs to go though steam??

I have a steam account, but I've never been a steam fan by any means and would like to be able to use Korea like I do currently use GB.

Other than the above, it's a nice Birthday surprise to wake up to.

Hi! it means if you purchaste it on the page, you won't be able to redeem it on Steam.

Wait for Steam version if you want Steam version 🙂 It will come at a later date.

Thanks for the quick response, not at all interested in a Steam version, like I said my GB (as it was with ROF) has always been purchased through the Il2 store.

@LukeFF I would be grateful for an answer on this so not to confuse myself into thinking that these 5 hidden aircraft is for the pacific or a continuation for the Korea side of things.

Hey Luke, this implies that people won't be worse off financially if they buy the regular pre-order and then get the DLC later. Is that true?

Asking so people can make their purchasing decisions better.

Everything is for Korea right now.

I assume so, but pricing for the DLC as a standalone has obviously not been determined yet.

They already said that we will get carriers for Korea, although it is a bit unclear whether the carriers will be added to the base game and the DLC will just add the carrier planes (plus whatever 'a new layer of interaction' is), or whether you need to get the DLC for the carriers.

Tbh I think the hidden 5 could be carrier aircraft so like the Panther, Banshee, Seafire, Firefly, Sea fury that pretty much sums it up
