Hello fellow pilots, anyone use the ursa hosas set up, as Im struggling to get it to work with left stick as throttle and rudder twist ( I'm a lower limb amputee) so cant use traditional rudders.  I miss flying in the game since i sold all my good stuff after amputation, and only have the cheap Ursa sticks.

Thanks in advance for any usful assistance

HOSAS is more popular among space simmers than flight simmers. So you may not find anyone here, especially with the specific setup of having a Ursa Minor HOSAS. Asking here is more likely to get an answer: https://old.reddit.com/r/hotas/

Although we may be able to help if you clarify the issue. Because I don't really understand what your issue is. Do you have trouble assigning the controls so the left stick works as both a throttle and a rudder?

The issue is when setting up the axis they wont work in game when trying to use as a throttle on the left stick. everything else works  all buttons and hats have no issues ( I think its a confict as both are technically flight sticks so the set up gets confused.)

That is really strange. You should be able to (re)assign the throttle axis to the left joystick. What happens in the key mapping screen? Does it not map the throttle when you move the stick?

The game is not actually aware what kind of device it is, so it should not matter that it is a joystick.

You can also attach your current.map file from IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\input and I can take a look.

it saves ok but when i start a game it reverts back to a standard stick so using pitch and roll..... I may have fixed it... lol I deleted the current.map then redid my axis controls and seems to have worked... more testing and flying to be had... I think the .map file had gone silly after I sold all my good stuff and connected the Ursa Minor sticks.

Thanks for your time.

The game has a device limit, so if you switch devices, it may cause issues because of the old devices it still remembers.
