Hey everyone!

In today's blog, we'll discuss our approach to supporting various gaming devices, including the most complex and high-end ones, and a new addition to the project: gamepad support.

I hope there will be a means to swipe the command list blank and clean, I prefer to start with an empty template.  I already know my perfected layout, and it take little time to set it up once the default keys are all deleted.  That's the part that takes the longest.

And finally, sixth, a search system has been added to find already-assigned commands by button press or name. And much more!

This already exists in GB.

Yes, but it's much more intuitive in Korea.

Wow! I really like how the developers are advancing and improving interface between the game and a player’s HOTAS devices.  I hope that will include default layouts for my old-but-reliable CH Products Combat Stick, rudder pedals, Pro Throttle, and Throttle Quadrant.

Still using my 25-year-old Microsoft Sidewinder Forcefeedback joystick.  Its buttons are getting worn out so I might have to invest in a new one, eventually.  Meanwhile, glad that it's still compatible with "KOREA".

Wow, I thought I was the only one who still used the Sidewinder FFB joystick, and of the same if not very similar age. An oldie but still a goodie!

Two exciting questions: 1) Will it be possible to use the off value for toggle switches? Which would be convenient for many switches on throttles, for example for warthogs..  2) Will it be possible to use certain commands as global commands for different aircraft? Let me explain: for example, I use the same toggle switch (or button) to turn on the engine. In order not to assign the same thing to different aircraft every time, I would put a "check mark" that would automatically apply this command to all aircraft.

Here's another example: I use the 3-way "Boat" button of my warthog throttles as zoom button. Position 1 = max FOV

Position 2 = 56 degrees FOV

Position 3 = 105 degrees FOV

Position 2 is not recognized by IL-2 GB, and I use a script that translates that into the correct zoom. Will that middle position be recognized by Korea?

Will Korea support other valuable functions like the following?

1) Assign a double-tap as input

2) Assign a long key press vs. short press

3) Assign a sequence of presses of the same button as input (e.g.  first press to select rockets, second press to select inner bombs, third press to select outer bombs etc.)

4) Assign specific zones of a controller axis to different functions. Example: I use the slider on the warthog throttles as trim axis (assigned in-game), and I use a script that translates the upper and lower half of the axis range to the trim up and trim down buttons used e.g. by the FW-190 series.

5) Assign a single input to a sequence of actions. Example: press one button to shut down the engine, shut off the fuel supply, close the cowl flaps, feather the prop and activate the fire extinguisher.

6) Assign an auto trim button. High end sticks have this, while others not. When you press this button, the current position of the control surfaces is the new neutral. That's very handy if you have to fiddle with the map inflight (e.g. while climbing). You can let go of the  stick and the plane maintains speed and attitude.

7) Assign a button to switch axis profiles in-flight. Example: high end sticks have a precision mode. When I press a button on my virpil stick, it goes into precision mode where the input-to-output ratio is (for me) 3. That makes long range sniping shots and extremely close formation flying great fun. Players with "lesser" sticks would appreciate that.

8 ) Assign the off position of a button to an action.

What about Force Feedback? Is it comparable with GB?

Could you share your " perfected layout" for many of us to use?
Would be a great help for many of, at least it would help me.
Thank you.

It would be very helpful to have individual key-mapping tabs for each plane type, where the available functions are limited to what's actually in each specific plane. I have spent literally hours fishing out the per-plane functions in GB. Not fun.

Nope, because I have five separate controllers not counting the rudder pedals, and nobody will have my same equipment combo nor have them mounted in the same physical positions, nor use them with the same intent.  Each users custom built cockpit masterpiece is always going to be unique.  Perfect for me and me alone, it wouldn't work for a bomber pilot, I don't do that normally.  I have it all set up as a fast fighter attack pilot in mind.  Even the intent and mission profile will differ.

Hello
I have the same CH peripherals; I hope they include them.

After all these years, they’re still working very well .

There are at least 2FFB joysticks in that picture, the old MS FFB and the G940. The saitek cyborg Evo up- left seems to be the normal version, not the FFB

The Moza AB9 FFB supports IL-2 Forgotten Battles, so I assume Korea will also be supported.

Looking forward to better support for my new TM Viper TQS throttle.  It took a lot of searching and tinkering to get it working in FB.  Would be nice to eliminate having to use afterburner slot on the WW2 fighters and the new Korea sim.
