Patricks Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 (edited) First I go to https://il2-korea.com/en/, click "Buy the Game", and it went to the IL-2 Korea page with two choices, Regular or Founders. Choose Founders, go thhrough the CC info, asks for verification of witdrawal and I see and email saying XSOLLA hit it for $0.36. I put 0.36 USD in, it fails, try .36, it fails, out of attempts and payment failed. Then a second email from CC comes in and sys they hit it for $0.57.. WTF? I then go back to https://il2-korea.com/en/, click "Buy the Game", and it kicks me out to "https://il2-series.com/en/store/gb/new/" where IL-2 Korea is not even listed. Tried multiple browsers, both "Buy the Game" and "Shop" does the same thing.. Edit: Two things. I see that if I choose RU as language it goes to correct site... the English link is incorrect, for English the correct"Buy the Game" link is https://il2-series.com/en/store/korea/new/, not https://il2-series.com/en/store/.. Wnen you get the CC verification (if USD) put in 0.xx, not .xx. Why it charged me twice the 1st time i'll likely never know, but order is in. EDIT #2 - Link is fixed, buy away guys! Aapje Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 Keep in mind that there is really no hurry. The pre-order price is still going to be available tomorrow. Quote

Mohawk Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 what does ---- " plus Year 1 DLC access,----" mean ??? sounds like you would have to pay every year ???????????? . Quote
Dora Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 I think it'll be more of a season pass thing (if they're going that direction), where in the first year they're planning 5 DLC collector planes, which are already included in the Founders Edition. Quote

Modern people get use to words like - Battle Pass or DLC, so there are no difference here. It some kind of additional content which can be anything like: Skins, Planes, Maps. I guess Developers switch model from selling Expansions to DLCs in order to be inline with new Brand name "Il-2 Series". Not like previous ones (BOS, BOK, etc..). So, answering your question - no, you still own rights use the game after 1 year or more. Quote

I think that this is just for Korea, because there won't be a new map, but the DLC should have carriers. But when they go to the Pacific, we will get new maps again. Quote

You will have the base game permanently if your order the 'standard' edition. You only need to pay for the DLC if you want the additional aircraft. If you order the 'founders' edition, you will get the base game permanently, and when the first DLC comes out, you will get that DLC permanently as well. This DLC is tentatively planned for 2026 (shortly after Korea), will have five additional aircraft. So the 'standard' edition gives you eight aircraft, the 'founders' edition gives you thirteen aircraft (five of which will be released later). It isn't a subscription, just a chance to pre-order additional aircraft. P.S. If the product sells well enough, there might also be a year 2 DLC in 2027 - but we don't know if this will be the case. If it does happen, you won't have to pay for it unless you want the additional aircraft. 18 hours ago, Stoikiy said: Modern people get use to words like - Battle Pass or DLC, so there are no difference here. I don't think this is really different: - In the old Great Battles series, you would get: A map, new missions/squadrons, and new aircraft with each module. - In Il-2 Korea you will get: New missions/squadrons, new aircraft, and possibly new features with each module (certainly the first DLC will have an impressive new feature). The pattern also changed already: For Flying Circus vol.II, vol.III, vol.IV there were three maps planned, these maps were connected into one big map, and purchasing any of the modules gave you access. Similarly, the new Korea map will be several times larger than any of the previous maps... so I don't think we're getting less. 1 1 Quote
