1C Game Studios LukeFF Posted Thursday at 07:02 PM 1C Game Studios Posted Thursday at 07:02 PM New scenarios await you for the La-7, the 1944 model IL-2, and the Yak-3, along with two new campaigns set in the Odessa Theater of Operations. Two new payware campaigns let you take part in the events of the 1941 Siege of Odesa, from both the Soviet Union and the Axis powers' perspectives. 24 closely interconnected combat sorties: at times, you will need to defend the same targets that your alter ego attacked in the other campaign, and vice versa. Yak-3 for example has a couple of those (listed at the old forum in the bug report section) Quote

Jaegermeister Posted Friday at 02:10 AM Posted Friday at 02:10 AM I will start a discussion in the Scripted Campaigns section for feedback on these campaigns. I hope everyone enjoys them! I would like to thank @AndreiTomescu and @BlackSix for providing original Romanian and Russian texts of day by day events during the Siege of Odessa, representing the perspective of both sides of the conflict. Without that assistance, I would not have been able to create these missions in a reasonably accurate manner. Both of these sister campaigns depict the missions as closely as possible to historical events as they happened, but of course there was some creative license taken to enhance the player experience. ~S~ 10 Quote CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D Raphael AM5 4.2GHz - RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL36 - GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB MB: ASUS Tuf Gaming B650E-E WIFI - HD: 1 TB Samsung 970 EVO+ M.2 - Display: HP Reverb G2 VR CONTROLS: TM Warthog HOTAS - Saitek Pro Flight Rudders - MaxFalcon 20 Keypad Emulator

AcesDarthBubu Posted Friday at 06:13 AM Posted Friday at 06:13 AM Is there a change log on this release ? Quote
AndreiTomescu Posted Friday at 09:09 AM Posted Friday at 09:09 AM We all know Jaggermeister's talent of doing state of the art campaigns. That have been proven since the dawn of Il-2. But this new idea of his, to make same campaign from the opposite perspectives, well, that's bold. Courageous. Why? Because it takes guts nowadays to present this truth : the simple, human pilots are more alike than one would like. They are opposite sides of the same coin. They share the skies and live sooo comparable lives. Taking layers and layers apart, there is more binding opposing pilots than setting them apart. Some of them got to know each other and became friends after the war. For ex, Cpt Dan Vizanty (he led that fateful IAR-80 vs P-38 encounter in '44) was helped/stayed alive after the war thanks to De Gaulle's intervention and much later saved from the communist regime by his free french and american (!!) "enemies" ! So, i am am strongly impressed by this new and deeply humane approach. Al least this is how i see it. Well done, sir ! 12 1 Quote

And will this be the 4th or 5th campaign made for them now? It's good because the minor nations' stories are very interesting! Now we can wait for someone to make a campaign with Finnish Bf 109s and, who knows, maybe a Brewster one day also! 😄 Edited Friday at 09:33 AM by sandmarken 3 1 Quote
SARFlytitus Posted Friday at 09:57 AM Posted Friday at 09:57 AM (edited) WOW, this is gold! I see there's still a lot of excitement on the Great Battles front. @Jaegermeister, @Vendigo, @sandmarken, @kraut1 just to name a few, and forgive all the other creators I haven't mentioned but whose campaigns I've flown or am about to fly... What a wonderful job you've done! I immediately bought @Jaegermeister's latest "Siege Of Odesa" campaigns, which I'll be flying alongside @Vendigo's"Ruspoli's At the Gates of Odesa." and @CzechTexan's "At The Dnestr" Thank you so much for continually infusing new life into "our" favorite simulator. Well done, guys!!! SARF Edited Friday at 10:09 AM by SARFlytitus 3 2 2 Quote

Kubert Posted Sunday at 07:15 AM Posted Sunday at 07:15 AM (edited) Is this thick pink frame around Odessa map intended. or bug? Spoiler Edited Sunday at 07:15 AM by Kubert Quote

Hide contents This is the typical still detailed terrain, that is by default not usable. The frame of Odessa is ca. 20km wide. In my Mod the limits are extended. I use it in first line to have enough space around the Iasi airfield. And maybe I will create a not historical airfield ca. 20...30km south east of Очаков for supply flights to Odessa. ...added later:+ the port of Очаков can be used as a regulary target, e.g: until 20th August41 Edited Sunday at 12:17 PM by kraut1 1 Quote
