Enceladus828 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Looking great, thank you all!!! Never thought we’d see this day come! Will the Top gunner and dorsal gunner positions on the B-26 be manable? Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
migmadmarine Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I don't imagine we would also have the Soviet retrofit where gun nose A-20s were converted back to glass noses?
Avimimus Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I suppose it is too early to ask: But will the sun-shade in the Fw-189 be removable? It would be nice to be able to fly without it.

I think this: "The glass nose with a navigator's cockpit will still be available as a modification, so in addition to the A-20G, you'll also get the A-20J modification." - will be possible to combine with the Soviet retrofit

AndreiTomescu Posted March 13 Posted March 13 two interesting payware historical campaigns : this is indeed very welcome. thank you. also, the adition on torpedoes opens hole new combat scenario oportunities! Not to mention the posibility of adding torpedoes to other aircrafts already available. great news, jood job !

Makes sense, but I see no reason to restrict the glass nose to American modifications only, when it can quite easily be transitioned onto the Soviet adaptation as well
easterling77 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Planes, I thought we would never get. Torpedoes???? Wow And two new scripted campaigns This Team is delivering, when I thought this would be it. Thank you for letting this outstanding Sim-World live on. I'll happily purchase them all to support this effort and to get many further joy out of it. Best Greetings DP 1

JG4_Moltke1871 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 If we receive the A20j with a glazed nose, will this position be manned? And if so, will we also receive this position retrofitted for the A20b? Thanks for this juicy DD, like in the good old times 🙂🙂🙂 1
=FB=VikS Posted March 13 Posted March 13 1 час назад, migmadmarine сказал: I don't imagine we would also have the Soviet retrofit where gun nose A-20s were converted back to glass noses? no, only the glass nose for a "kind of A-20J" 1 час назад, Avimimus сказал: I suppose it is too early to ask: But will the sun-shade in the Fw-189 be removable? Rocket_Knut Posted March 13 Posted March 13 (edited) @=FB=VikS So, just to avoid any sort of confusion: As far as crew stations and their accessability are concerned, the future A-20J will be the same as the A-20B already in the game? No access to the bombardiers position, right? I´m asking because I think, I remember a question regarding crew stations has been asked quite recently and the answer looked a bit different. Thanks in advance for the clarification. Edited March 13 by Rocket_Knut

Lofte Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I wonder how the developers themselves envision gameplay on the FW-189? Will there be any new gameplay mechanics, missions, etc.? Or is it just "here's the plane, play it however you want"?

Fighter planes are certainly fun but there is a saying in motorcycling which may apply here— its more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. Sneaking around and flattening enemy industry and emplacements is a thrill fighter pilots don't get while they circle the skies like vultures 1 3
PaperPilot Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Are we safe to assume that this will be the tail end of development of Great Battles? I mean I've heard that there will be no more modules, but I mean collector plane-wise. It may have said somewhere but I never saw it so I apologise for asking a question with an already known answer.

My personal opinion: no, we should not assume this surge in content will be the certain end of supported development (devs content, not user-made) If the new content sells well, it's a clear indicator that it's still interest. New maps means a huge work, on a old engine, while there's a new and promising new one. So less profit for the future. But new planes, or new versions of already existing planes? That's possible, since the workload is much less, and more profitable! Think how much time and effort they put in a hole module, that sells with 80-90 usd. But just a new and desired plane, just one, that opens new gameplay, can sell with 15 usd. (See torpedo load) So: if there is paidware interest from us, can't see why future 2027+ content won't be possible 4 2
