Will the bodenplatte map textures have any improvements in future?

If we want to see any map improvements in the future, it needs to be done as a community project.

God I wish these upgrade mods got accepted officially the same way it was with 4K upgrades for aircraft skins and cockpits.

With some care you can merge Picksking's and Rowdybot's mods to get a very nice end result. Rowdybot's textures are 512x512 for some seasons so worth upscaling the resolution using something like gimp to 1024x1024 so they match Picksking's

Rowdybot has several versions for some seasons so you can blend things quite a bit to get your own version to your personal taste. There is also a tree mod for Rheinland floating around on the old forum you can add as well. Plus several river mods. Plus some western front airfield camo repaints and ditto for roads.

These textures are good,but I use the spring textures from the other mod,the stock textures are too bright on the Rheinland maps ( esp the city blocks ) all the textures need to be made darker,with the detail.dds file made brighter.i know some people use reshade tools that totally wosh out all the colors and make the game look like a cartoon,the Rheinland textures are the worst of all the maps,I think most would agree on this.But these mods do improve them and make them somewhere more realistic

Have to say the Moscow map has awful textures. On my screen they are almost pale purple and grey. Any improvement (like the textures linked above) is better than what we currently have.

Don't want this to go off topic though as it's about Bodenplatte, but damn Moscow textures are awful!

I highly recommend this more cultivated Moscow map repaint. I must admit that with this mod Moscow is one of my favourite map and one of the most beautiful in Il-2.

Are there any alternative download sources for Rowdyb00ts Rheinland mod?  I've not managed to get the file to download via Mediafire - it always times out before completing
