forum Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I am 83 yrs old and i do miss brain things now but i could use some help with step by step instructions on how to calibrate my vkb gnx-hid standalone throttle quadrandt. Thank you all for some help.
Gutholz Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Hi, Do you actually mean calibrate or assign the functions in IL2? I never tried to calibrate my VBK stick but there is a video tutorial: calibration starts at 2min30. I think the process is the same for all VBK hardware. (joysticks, throttles, rudder,...)
forum Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 Thank you for getting back to me. It seems i can only get to far, then i get lost.
Czech693 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Are you using VKB's Configurator software? You download that from their web page, which is on Buddist New Year's Holiday right now, so it's not currently available. Install that software and it should recognize your throttle. Then you go through the calibration buttons on the Configurator to calibrate your axis on the throttle, and the buttons. Looks like the picture below. You can also use Windows Game Controller program to calibrate, although VKB recommends against that. But it will work in the meantime. It is available on your computer already. Windows USB game controllers are located in the Control Panel under "Devices and Printers" (specifically named "Set up USB game controllers") or via the Device Manager. You can quickly find it by searching "joy.cpl" or "USB game controllers" in the Start menu.
