I've not played with it and the very old mission and server manual seems not consistent with 2025 Great Battles. Quote

The editor hasn't changed much over the years, so old tutorials should work as well! Quote

I checked on the old forum, but it seems all the post links have been destroyed. Jim's manual is not anymore accessible. All attachments are gone. I do not know if this was on purpose, but if you have not saved whatever was of interest to you it's definitively gone. The old forum is now just for displaying the post text and the images that are inside and part of the post. If they were as a link they are gone. All the information connected to the members is gone too. The old forum is now like a static photograph. Quote
LuftManu Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 Hello! @IckyAtlas Here is the Excellent JIM mission editor manual. I will create a post on the mission editor part with it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AfDCHXIJKeMURMK8-LBHCmARMAUoEp5M/view?usp=sharing Kind regards, Quote

I appreciate the offer, unfortunately my lack of free time is why I started creating single missions and scripted campaigns to begin with. The pause button is my friend and the time I have to fly is very unpredictable. These days I rarely know more than an hour in advance when I will be able to be on the computer or where I might be tomorrow. 5 hours ago, IckyAtlas said: I never created missions on servers. You just have to make the planes available in Coop and have a place for them all to spawn. You can test the missions by making your own computer into a server, logging in and selecting a plane and then playing it just like a single mission. Dogfight or 2 sided coop missions are a bit more complicated because they have to be playable for both sides. You need complete airbases, targets, enemy AI. etc for both factions, not just triggered and spawned AI to fight against. They can get a lot more complicated from there, but some of the served admins here could offer more details than I can. Edited November 27, 2025 by Jaegermeister 1 Quote

My friends and I have been looking for months through the old forums to find something we could load to the server I created for us. From what I see PWCG is the best bet, but like most of what I've seen, a lot is out of date. No hate against the IL-2 community, as I'd love to see it flourish. 1 Quote
9od.thy_ Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I'm here to say thanks for the Coop server! It's 24/7 open, and this is great! Quote
