E-4 Alpha Layer Copy

Recommended Posts

I'm struggling with the transparent prop hub tip in 109 E-4 skins. After I complete a new skin i get solid nose tip similar to E-7. So i tried to import Alpha channel from a generic e-4 skin but still get solid nose tip/ What am I missing?

If you look at the Alpha from the public E-4 template you'll see two black circles near the bottom. Make sure those ares are black on the alpha you use with the skin.

Interesting. Using the original template only, you shouldn´t. It´s alpha channel provides the relevant areas covered in black. No additional effort required.

Just saw @Devil5O5 beat me to it. 👍

I used original template and saved to dds. Result -solid nose tip. I even took another existing E-4 skin. Imported generic E-4 dds and result still solid nose tip. You would think that even if some visual element don't line up the nose would be OK and transparent.

But did you add the alpha layer before exporting? In this thing it is called "Alpha1" and it comes with the template.

Like I said earlier, using nothing but the original template, you should have no problem at all.
