Aapje Posted February 15 Posted February 15 It would be a lot more convenient if you turn this into a campaign. 1
-FRA-Boyington1959 Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 Thank you, I'd love to but I don't know how... If you have the method, thank you.

Geezer Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Downloaded and flew first two missions. Thanks for all your hard work. I especially appreciate the opportunity for start-up and taxi! The placement of those "other mustangs" at the end of the runway is interesting. lol. In mission one the escort flight is carrying 1000 lb bombs. Is that as intended? Also, after hitting the target both flights just continue to orbit the target area rather than RTB. Perhaps a missing trigger? I flew it twice to be sure. Second mission went off without a hitch. Thanks again for this! 1
-FRA-Boyington1959 Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 Thank you for your feedback. Indeed, in the first mission, I forgot to mention that the P-51Ds were supposed to bomb the flak on Mont Lambert. Also, in the second mission, there was an incorrect instruction given to the bombers; I've corrected that as well. I will republish the corrected files soon. Have a good day. 1

Geezer Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Finally got the chance to check this out as a campaign! Nice to have another campaign to fly!! I flew the first two missions. Some feedback: The first mission went off without a hitch. My flight didn't bother to attack any AAA despite my vigorous encouragement. Typical of the AI, though. In the second mission the Mosquitos crossed the Channel after hitting the target whereupon after reaching a certain point inland they vanished rather than landing. No impact on the mission so not a big deal. Thanks again for all your work! 1

Thanks for your feedback, and I'm glad you had fun. Indeed, instead of making the AI squadron planes land, I make them disappear using the `Deactivate` command, because the AI planes often chase each other on landing... Cheers!
mrtomek Posted March 27 Posted March 27 File is no longer available. Please update link or maybe post it in Scripted Campaigns section. Cheers 1

Aapje Posted March 27 Posted March 27 A lot of people download things long after they are uploaded, so it would be more convenient to post it somewhere that doesn't expire so quickly. A lot of people use Google Drive or Mediafire to share the files. Perhaps you can use that. Also, @LukeFF since this was changed to a campaign, it is now in the wrong section. Can you please move it? 1
AndreiTomescu Posted March 30 Posted March 30 So, in my quest for a long run on the western front, I thought this would fit nicely after stretching my...wings over Caen. Not quite so, since the action here takes place in September 1944. None the less, this is a gem! Monsieur Boyington, why haven't you told us that this is Free French squadron, equipped with Mustangs ?? It's great! Just like the Niemen campaign! Just flew the first mission, 3 times, in order to get different approaches. (I'm a liar, actually from sooo much testing i became used to do this. So, first mission, little bug: the escorting mates fail to drop their bombs before aerial engagement. Is there a command, besides ordering them to do ground work, or "copy my actions", to encourage that?) The mission goes smooth like butter. About 18 planes in the air, plus ground stuff, and no drop in fps. The setting is interesting also, as the city of Boulogne is a German fortress and the surrounding area is already in allied hands, but still! you fly from England! == to be continued == 1
AndreiTomescu Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Vive la France Libre ! Climb! Intercept ! Mes copains sont arrive ! What a strange thing..... Other planes, like some Stukas, weren't doubled.... 1
-FRA-Boyington1959 Posted March 31 Author Posted March 31 (edited) Thank's for your comments ! I'm currently preparing a release of this mission on a site where the link will be permanent. I've also fixed the bugs at the Boulogne Alprech airfield ;-) I'm currently finalizing the Boulogne-sur-Mer campaign with the P-47D-28... Just a little more patience... AndreiTomescu Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Merci beaucoup ! Thank you very much! You see, it wasn't a matter of impatience. It was simply the joy of seeing something beautiful and very rare: the Free French airmen. Coming from a Frenchman, I imagine there is even more passion hidden somewhere within every mission. 1
