Hi there

I have a Virpil setup (both joystick and throttle -Flankr stick and 50CM3 base, Mongoose 50CM3 throttle and Virpil control panel #3) and the game does not seem to pick the joystick up. The joystick is seen in windows and in Virpil software. It was working before but I have noticed issues as I have a racing simrig with multiple additions to the computer such as Wheelbase, wheel, pedals, DDU, Button box etc etc. I am wondering if this is having an impact? I have a powerful enough pc as its a 5090 with AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3d and 64GB Ram and a 1600 watt Corsair power supply - so I am assuming that is more than enough power both actually and in terms of processing/GPU power for the system. I have a feeling the game is 'confused' by what controllers to use? If that is the case can anyone advise how to sort that out please? I dont want to be disconnecting peripherals etc - surely there must be some sort of software or action I can take to isolate certain controllers for certain games - or indeed isolate controllers for a period of time then can be switched on again via software. Any advice/help would be most appreciated.

Il-2 can work only with a few first devices (I think 5 max, or similar). All other devices after that are not visible.

Try to disconnect not used devices, erase text file "devices" somewhere in your game folder, then start game and set all your keys/axes. Restart and backup your "devices" file.

Some people have different usb hubs with devices for different games, you may try it. Then turn off racing gears before starting il-2.

And disconnecting/reconnecting devices may break that devices file again, you may replace it from your backup.

ps; make sure you have all drivers for your joystick

Dryheat94 - many thanks for that - worked a treat. Copied the instructions, saved them as well as devreorder programme for future need/reference. Really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

TCW_Brzi-Joe - thank you for trying to help as well - I started with Dryheat94's suggestion and that worked great but thank you for your suggestions though - really helpful and that would have been 'stage 2' if the previous had not worked.

Thank you both very much indeed - I can get back to flying 🙂 See you in the skies 🙂
