Great night and evening graphics!
As I understand Venus Belt due to curvature of the Earth. Does Il-2 Korea have a spherical Earth on map?
Last year X-Plane 12 updated their graphic engine. There is nice feature - shadows from clouds on clouds. Looking forward to having this in Il-2!

Lots of power poles in those photos Luke, but not a single street light that I can see. House lighting, sure, but street lighting..?

The effects are stunning and I really like the new night time lighting, particularly the radiating lights against a dark background! With that said...

Q: Was there night time street lighting during the Korean War in 1951?

A: AI Overview

In the early part of 1951, nighttime street lighting in South Korea was virtually non-existent, especially in major cities like Seoul, due to the extreme devastation caused by the war.

Extensive Destruction: By early 1951, many Korean urban centers, including Seoul, were reduced to rubble due to fighting, bombing, and fires, leaving little to no functional power grid for streetlights.
Dim, Sparse Lighting: Following the recapture of Seoul in late 1950, reports indicated that any revived lighting was extremely sparse, consisting of low-watt bulbs on only a few main avenues, leaving the majority of the city in darkness.
Curfew Policies: From 1945 until 1982, a national-level, midnight-to-4 a.m. curfew was in place, with violators subject to detention.
Context: The conflict was characterized as a "nightmare" of fighting in cold, dark conditions, with power infrastructure severely crippled.
The period of January to March 1951 was particularly chaotic, as UN forces withdrew from Seoul and subsequently retook it, ensuring that infrastructure was either destroyed or barely functional.

I'm not saying this is 100% correct, but it's what the internet thinks is true.

Who cares, trying to program an accurate functional environmental replication is one thing.  But trying to program historical sequence is a fools errand, never going to happen.

Not necessarily. It is dependent on the quality of data and the amount of labour to implement.

That said, I really don't think we can trust large language models, especially for anything which is specific.
