Hi there

In my multiplayer Mission for a 'night Flight'
I've setup 2 different airfields with different lights.

The first one is set to 'Allies' as coaltion
The second one is set to 'Axis' as coalition

All players spawn as 'Axis' coalition on a different arifield
On their route to the 'second' airfield
they move very close to the 'first' airfield.

The 'first' airfield contains several 'searchlights'
spawing (and starting illlumminatuion) whenever any of the players is within a given distance.

The 'second' airfield contains several 'landlights'
spawing (and starting illlumminatuion) whenever any of the players is within a given distance.

But when in multiplayer I notice some 'strange' behaviours...
The first players reaching these airfields report, all ligts are active (and giving the illumination)
Players arriving later do not.

I myself was reaching both arifields after all other players.
I did neither see any lights from the searchlights ('first' airfield)
nor did I see any lights from the 'second' airfield (where  landed)
but I could clearly see the spawned landlights on that airfield
and other pilots landed there before also could clearly see the lights from there landlights.

So 'what' is going wrong there?
Landlights are spawned
Landlights are active and providing 'light' to the formerly landed pilots
But I (and even otther pilots) do see nothing but the 'spawned' landlights WITHOUT any 'light'

PS:
In case you requwst I'll send the mission file by PM, because I'm not willing to post it public as it's a 'not working as it should' part of our flight school.

Ok...

3 WEEKS have passed
many markings about 'content read'
but no answer.

Maybe the Devs have not seen this (I don't think so)
Maybe the Devs just ignore it (That is what I think!)

But the problem still exists.
And as under the conditions that made me post this report
- other players reached the 'Check Area' zones first
- other players reported the 'FULLY illumination was active'
- at least me (and some others, too) reached that area later
- in most cases the playrers reoprted 'NO Illumination visible'
- at the same time the former arriving (and still present at that spot) players reported 'Illumination visible'

So for me it looks like

- anything I could do inside the mission editor was working
-- I could see the landlights beeing present (so spawned) but no lights!
-- so the used 'logic' to 'spawn and activate' WAS working!

- The game itself simply chooses (ignoring the mission created) weather to show the illumination (or not...)

That IS a bug. And it's not present since the latest 'updates', but since a very long time (if not allways...)

I know that the concentration of 'human recources' has a priority for finishing the 'new' game.
But I really do not accept that reported issues are ignored!

Either there will be any reaction from the devs (including asking me for further informantions including the mission file) readable PUBLIC here
or there will be comment life from the devs (confirming that bug reports are ignored due to the assumed reasons...)

And as I supported this game since 'Rise of Flight' and created missions since that time, too, I really know WHAT I am doing
and I also know WHAT I have invested into the game (not only money, also time...)
So you are not getting reports from a NOOB...

As always, yes, post the mission file; there isn't a lot the team can do until then.

So here is (not the entire, but the relative part of) the mission..

I've removed the parts which were not used because noone was insite the activation areas
and so they cannot have been activated.

I also 'tested' it once.
Having another 'issue' I notices with the 'searchlights' present.
But that is NOT part of the Bug Report!
That is under 'my own' revison for now.

The 'Bug Report' is according to the following conditions:
Fly with several (!) pilots all starting at 'Quakenbrück' to 'Dortmund'
Make a time separation before them taking off (!)

I've tested this (full mission, not the 'reduced' one) a lot of times
and I allways saw every light at the destination airport (Dortmund)
My 'testing conditions' were allways the same at the 'mission conditions'
- using my internet to host the mission
- using a different computer to 'host' the mission (3.4 GHz, Windows Server!!!)
- using my gaming PC to 'play'  tha mission (3.4 GHz, Win 10)
- Internet Upload (so giving content) 50.000
- Internet Download (so receicing content) 250.000
- should be more than enough!

Your Mission:
Simply fly from 'Quakenbrück' to 'Dortmund' and land there.
Couse should be arround 193 degrees...

Things that were noticed:
- The 'searchlights' at 'Münster'
-- are visible too late (I allready passed that airport whem I saw one)
-- are not all visible (I saw only 1 light...)
That is NOT part of the bug report (for now!)

- The 'landlights' at 'Dortmund' were visible for the first pilots arriving there
- The 'fires' at 'Dortmund', too
- I was arriving later (or better last) and I saw only the ´ fires'
- Other pilots arriving in the meantime saw 'only the fires'

And after asking the pilots (still present because nobody has left hs plane) what the see
they reported that they could see the entire iluminaition (so 'fire' and 'landlight')

So that IS what I call a BUG...

Now it's up to you.

And I really want you to
- update 'status' public in here
-- so read, under ievestigation, ...

- and to request further informations in case you need them

But just in case I read 'nothing' here (as before I made my second posting in here) I do know what that means (and I mentioned before...)

Regards

Deciman

UPDATE (and further bug!)

I've edited the mission (not the one you could download).

I've simply added a row of 'rings' (graphics\helpers\waypoint.chr)
These should normaly be active on mission start.
To be 'safe' I've additionally added a 'Trigger_Activate', linked by a 'Trigger Mission_Begin'
to all of them.
So I'm 100% sure they should be active...

Yesterday we had that mission for our training in use.
10 pilots were flying, and we divided up into 2 groups of 5.
I was leading the first group and entering the area, where the 'rings' were placed.
We flew for about half an hour manouvers throug there rings
and I was THE ONLY ONE able to see them for the entire time!
And as the rest of the pilots followed my flight path (smoke generators in use)
they were also flying directly through the 'rings' (but NOT seeing them!)

Later the second group (the other 5 pilots) came into the same area.
They saw the rings.
And my pilots reported all the same:
NOW I can see the rings, too

I know they were present (because I saw them all the time, even if I saw them only at a closer distance than assumed)
Pilots directly behind me did NOT see them for 30 minutes of flying directly through these rings
After a further group of pilotes arrived the 'rings' started to be visible also for the pilots, flying there for 30 minutes WITHOUT seeing them.

I guess this is based on the same thing:
The game is NOT rendering everything it should AS it should.
So not only the 'landlights, or 'searchlights', but also other things (which are PROVED to be there!)

Your turn...

Deci

PS:
Request and further information you need and I will provide it
Do NOT try to 'ignore' this posting...
And @LukeFF just in case the 'devs' are not watching this...
let them know they better should do...

Nothing is being ignored, but owing to the team's current workload, there is no guarantee when they will be able to investigate this.
