Hi JollyJack, from what you write I suppose that it's not a problem. Just a standard message that Moscow Freeflight... has already created the mapstiles folder. Vander has reported that he is already working on a EMG Implementation. I hope that his EMG GUI Map will be big enough to create some additional static fronts...... 1

Так уныло лететь бывает над просторами где внизу проплывают деревни на берегу речек, и ни одной лодочки! Ни у берега, ни на самой реке! Да так никогда не было же! Вы пару лодочек изготовьте, а мы уж сами расставим в редакторе, когда миссии будем делать. а? Что скажете? Я вот помню наш поселок городского типа, (на берегу небольшой речки) когда он был еще деревней и у каждого второго жителя была лодка! Деревянная лодка! Сделанная своими руками! И каждый третий четвертый занимался починкой рыболовной сети.. вот такими цепями крепилась к скобе и еще вёсла с уключинами там же в лодке были! Эх.. где всё это теперь! Скрытый текст 4 3

And every third or fourth person was busy repairing the fishing net... it was attached to a bracket with chains like these, and there were oars with rowlocks right there in the boat! I'm referring to small boats with a crew of two to ten fishermen. These boats have always been around in both the Baltic and Lake Ladoga. So, to create a working environment, it would be a good idea to later create such boats for use in scenarios. I'm not saying, "Hey, hurry up! Schneller!" It's just that all this is important and necessary to liven up the scenes! What were they like? Sailing, wooden. Ordinary fishermen weren't rich. Size and shape? - Anything! Nerpo Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) Just a suggestion to the developers! - Dear developers! Please accept a small model of a fishing schooner as a gift! Paint it and add it as an object to the simulator. It's important to note that a 3D model isn't everything. It's not the final result for the IL-2 simulator. The lifeless model needs to be given various properties... To paint it. Pass a series of tests. And only then add it to the editor and the simulator! Edited February 23 by Nerpo 1

Hi, in general the graphics data of the karelia_su is in the Maps15.gtp and karelia_wi and the GUI mapstiles are in the Maps14.gtp. You can extract them with: unGTP-IL2.zip and if you have an folder c:\0-bos (just an example) with cmd and this: ungtp-il2 Maps14.gtp c:\0-bos\Maps14 ungtp-il2 Maps15.gtp c:\0-bos\Maps15

Concerning your questions for the files I am not sure which files you exactly mean: -the height.hini files are modified and included in the mod. -this is the content of the winter graphics folder, in which further files are you interested? Here are some, not all of the smaller files: karelia-wi-txt-and-dat-and-ini-files.zip If this are the required files I can upload the same for the summer map For the bigger texture, graphic and mesh files please extract the GTPs as shown in my first reply Edited March 4 by kraut1

NE area Karelia Map v1.zip The Moscow map is unique, because from the beginning the city of Moscow was, although not reachable by default, it was modeled very detailed and it was shown in the GUI map, the so called mapstiles, from the beginning. In all other maps, as far as I know, the still detailed modeled but not flyable area is just one-colored, no GUI map. But it is possible, if anyone has the time available, to paint on the grey mapstiles a GUI map. For a very small part of the north western Kuban map I do this for the Feodosia Mod, partly by importing / scaling / modifying Google maps graphics: https://forum.il2-series.com/topic/172-kuban-crimea-feodossija-area-mod-test1/ (Work in Progress!) 1
