I'm strictly a Flying Circus customer and I own all four volumes.

My preference is a Custom Setting that allows me all of help that a player gets on Normal Setting, except for Engine, Throttle, Fuel Mixture, Radiator and Over-revving protection, all of which I would like to handle. Even when I uncheck the auto settings for these items, thus creating a Custom Setting, it doesn't "take".

For example, on my Custom Setting for the first scripted mission for the Fokker E III, the engine won't start because I can't adjust the Fuel Mixture to make it rich, which is necessary for the E.III to start. I'm forced to use Expert Setting, which then allows me to manually adjust the fuel mixture.

So, I'm not sure whether the Custom Setting feature is working properly. Thanks.

If you have the game in the default folder location windows may have it write protected and see it as a system folder.  Try changing the read write protection under properties and if it doesn't work create a new folder outside of programs and put the whole game there, than undo the write protections.

I changed the whole game file from Read only by unchecking the box. That didn't help.

The strange thing here is that the Custom settings worked fine until Volume IV installed. Then the Custom settings stopped working.

Thanks.
