AndreiTomescu Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Airfiels: Luban Sud Unit II./JG 53 date: 30.09.1941 Mission type: Frontline Patrol, career mode, german side Issue: the flight path takes us outside map. When closing that, a red msg pops up and says "you are leaving combat area, turn west" Upon me ignoring it (i had to follow the sqad!) the game puts me on autopilot, the screen goes on movie type, and i loose all control, obviously. While is this state the wing men are crashing into each other or simply dropping out of the sky, one by one, and then they respawn, only for this to happen again. Can't go further in the career, unless i ignore the flight and go my way (like Tom Jones 🙂 ) Some images: Please help! There isn't much yet to be done on the beautiful Leningrad map except career..... THX! Quote
sandmarken Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I hope this means that the rest of the map will be available at some point. It would be good to have the whole of Lake Ladoga and the airfield on the east side. Kraut1 will hopefully make a mod if not. Part of the map is right there in the editor, partially populated. 1 Quote

The mission designed had to had acces to a larger map, otherwise he couldn't put the waypoints there!! Only now i've realised that. But that part wasn't released yet. probably it's not ready. so with the next update, as Luke said, we'll be good. Many thx! Quote

I'm pretty sure Luke meant to say that the missions will be adjusted to stay inside the flyable zone, but someone from the Finnish team said that the groundwork is there, so it's a matter of what the devs want if they do the work. Not knowing too much about the history behind the siege, I would think that having the whole lake available would be important as the Road of Life was essential to the city. I'm pretty sure it was attacked a lot from the air. Quote

Kubert Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Probably towns and airfields are not finished yet. I hope this part of map will be added later. I like that Leningrad map in GB series is focused more to the east, closer to Road of Life instead of west as it was in IL-1946. Quote

What I did, I stayed at the map's border, got that Lisunov aircraft just as it turned in my "allowed" part of the map and then hit some of those howitzers east of the large railroad area. Got hit pretty bad by AAA (one remaining, cause I've hit the other 2) and limped back to the airfield with engine spitting oil all over the place. There were some bandits afterwards, I think, but i was in no shape of fighting, as I landed without engine. Some missions further, I saw that i'm into another free hunt assignment. Haven't done it yet, we'll see what the waypoints are. All in all, I still think that the scripted campaigs are king. Have to get that one new by Blacksix, but i wanted to try a bit the new map..... Anyhow , there are some awesome scripted ones almost ready for Odessa map. Maybe the Leningrad map is still to fresh to use yet properly. But we still try and hope for the best. 1 Quote
