1C Game Studios LukeFF Posted January 30 1C Game Studios Posted January 30 Hey everyone! Today, we explain what is new with the award system in Korea. IL2 Series. https://media.il2-korea.com/news/dd_59 13 3
easterling77 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Nice to hear about such possibilities, as to affect the moral of your subordinates. I'm hoping, that this and other mechanics will give us a high grade of immersion. Keep up the awesome work. And.... An additional 30 will be added as part of the first year’s DLC. Is there another military branch on the horizon??? High hopes for naval aviation😁 (considering the bits about Panther and Corsair in the past) 2 4
tattywelshie Posted January 30 Posted January 30 This sounds exciting, the whole squadron morale thing, right up my street and super immersive as well! 1
Leifr Posted January 30 Posted January 30 The note about additional thirty awards contained within the DLC simply must be United States Naval (Marines) and Royal Navy (Fleet Air Arm) - looking forward to it! 1

Either way, looking forward to it!

Dash,Polder Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Just so you know, those aren't pilot wings, those are modern enlisted air crew, got me awarded a real set of those once upon another life time ago. 1

Philthy Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Always thought it odd that in a GB career the first award is your wings. In reality personnel are posted to operational units already qualified. Hope this changes in Korea.
BlitzPig_EL Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Quote you won’t be able to hand out medals left and right. Orly? 3 1
Lofte Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) I've been writing about this for 13 years. Please make the refly menu feature a dress uniform for each side with awards and ranks on it. Like they did back in 1998 in the game Luftwaffe Commander. Plus, they showed a cute video with a voiceover congratulating you on your promotion/award (see below). Edited January 30 by Lofte 3 1 4

I was recently thinking it would be great if we could choose which pilots to award medals to, and here it is! This is shaping up to be an very interesting flight sim - can’t wait! Wize Posted January 31 Posted January 31 О как, то есть наказывать не виновных и награждать не причастных как в реальной жизни, нельзя? Какой же это тогда симулятор? 🤣

And yes you must meet the qualifications in time spent assigned with flying orders and also a minimum number of flight hours to get those higher level wings.

We mustn't rush to conclusions. Besides, it could also be the RAAF! 2

X0T_01 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Awesome. I always look forward to these types of small details in The Sims. On BoX, I always enjoyed the awards system. Since the career mode is more oriented toward working as a commander, I was wondering whether we will be able to award top national decorations, such as Hero of the USSR for the Soviets or the MoH. I guess yes since the dev blog says "There will be a total of 66 awards in Korea, and you can see some of them here". Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Dash,Polder Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Hope they're not so easy to accumulate. Be nice to have pilot records option as part of online server options. Aways nice to see a bit about who you went up against. Also good for squads in pilot tracking, how good your guys are doing and who needs help. Also don't forget about rank and promotion system, more important than any medal, that's the real prestige and path to privilege and command.
Airborne2001 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 The immersion this brings is incredible. Awesome decision to have awards work this way. 👏 1
