AEthelraedUnraed Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Leningrad looks positively huge! And the Karelia part is something else entirely; there are farms and small hamlets scattered all over the place! @LLv44_Kanttori Amazing job guys! 6 2 Quote
Jaegermeister Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Great looking release, Thanks! Once again... something new and long-awaited will be announced soon! I wonder what that is? 2 Quote

Enceladus828 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Thank you! Here are some pictures of when my grandparents went there in 1990 — by then much of it hadn’t been repainted in decades. 12 2 Quote
Charlo Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I’m looking forward to flying over the new maps! It might be Saturday before I can check this, but in this 7.001 update is the Ju 87 D-3 oil flap lever fixed? It has been showing reversed what it should be doing - Auf (at the top) should be where the lever goes to when fully open, but since 6.003 that lever goes down to Zu when fully open. The lever movement was always correctly modeled in the Ju 87 D-5. 1 Quote
Avimimus Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Pretty cool! The La-7 is really living up to its reputation. The Il-2 1944 is indeed a considerably better gun platform... nice additions all around - and the maps are brilliant. P.S. Still wishing for a German or Italian/Romanian destroyer... and maybe a PTRD team? 😉 May as well ask, eh? Quote
CzechTexan Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I just LOVE it! The attention to detail on the maps is amazing. That's what makes this sim so beautiful to fly over. Thanks to both groups of creators who have come together on this project. What a beautiful screenshot!... 11 Quote

LLv44_Kanttori Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Thanks also to Zeus, we wouldn't be here without him. There has been a huge amount of work in the Soviet settlements and cities! 🫡 We at KarttaKompania will continue to improve the landscaping in Finland and Estonia throughout the spring as we get settlements built there. Finnish cities also need some improvement. There is enough work to do until the summer at least. We'll probably be able to publish the summer map soon. 11 10 Quote

It should :c 4 — Место для авиагоризонта (Place for the horizon indicator) It even had it back in Il-2 1946... At least the 7B model But since the one in great battles also has triple 20 mm cannons, like on the late production models, Why shouldn't it also have access to an AGP-2 ADI through the modifications menu? There's a big empty hole in the middle of the instrument panel 💔 ;–; 1 Quote
86Cheese Posted January 27 Posted January 27 @LukeFF is it still planned to add anti shipping/shipping escort to career? I feel like that was mentioned in a devlog at some point but maybe im crazy? Or was it added at some point and I just totally missed it? This looks fantastic though, can't wait to check out the new IL-2 and La-7 after work. Props to the Fins for seriously over delivering. Well done, folks 👏 and thanks for a few hundred more hours in the air 1 Quote

JG4_Moltke1871 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 „Career mode: Zeppelin escort mission added to WWI Western Front map“ There where talks about missions to attack the Zeppelin sheds, are they included? Quote
Blitzen Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) I do like the new map and it's possibilities, but I am having quite a bit of stuttering with it on QM.Maybe it's just me, but it does make it less than ideal...😶 Edited January 27 by Blitzen Quote
Rurik_54 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) Dear developers! I hope you will correct the following shortcomings on the map of Leningrad. In Kronstadt, instead of the Naval Cathedral, you have placed St. Isaac's Cathedral. In Peterhof, instead of the Grand Palace, there is an incomprehensible structure. I'm not even mentioning the Catherine Palace in Pushkin. Instead of it, there is also an incomprehensible structure. However, I would like to mention that the Vyborg Castle has been recreated very well, and there is even a city train station and a round tower. Thank you very much for this! It seems that our Finnish colleagues have done a great job. In addition, I would like to have at least the eastern shore of Lake Ladoga on the map, so that I can see the entire "Road of Life". The Kazan Cathedral and even the monuments to Kutuzov and Barclay de Tolly are very well done. However, a typical church is also placed instead of the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. Instead of a monument to Alexander II, there is an incomprehensible obelisk in the square in front of St. Isaac's Cathedral Perhaps a person who lived in Leningrad could participate in this project? I understand that the scope of work is very extensive, and not everything can be achieved immediately. I rely on your expertise. I have great respect for you and your work.
