I'm not quite sure what the problem is. After passing waypoint 4, you turn east toward the Thury-Harcourt and find yourself engaged in combat against 12 Fw 190s after Tennis-1 is attacked by them and requests assistance. Perhaps you started attacking ground targets and missed the big fight nearby?

Sorry Blacksix, my mistake, it wasn't mission 3 I was thinking of but the mission (5?) where the preamble for the following mission states that the Germans attacked us on return to the airfield after completing the mission. I didn't see any german planes at all on the way back from the mission.

The 5th mission is quite specific))

It's easy to miss them on the way back. However, this is a real situation and there was a battle, and I should have written about it in the next briefing. But how to act in the mission depends on the player; the Germans themselves won't attack unless you get too close.
