gecko Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Apparently the F-84 required a lot of runway to get airborne, and regularly needed RATO equipment in Korea. So, will this feature be included with the aircraft? It seems like an operational necessity if the flight characteristics are modeled accurately. Quote
Avimimus Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I believe the existence of RATO was mentioned in one of the Briefing Room episodes. Additionally RATO exists for the Ar-234B in Great Battles (albeit a quite different system). So it seems likely to me. However, I don't recall it being explicitly confirmed (other than as a feature of the real aircraft). It is worth noting that the earlier F-84D was used in Korea without RATO - that said, it could limit ground attack payloads. Quote
