SYN_Vander Posted November 25, 2025 Author Posted November 25, 2025 (edited) Guynemer's Gotha - single player and cooperative mission Situation: In January 1917 the Group the Combat no 12 'Le Cigognes' moved to Manoncourt-en-Vermois to help defend the city of Nancy against German bomber raids. On the morning of February the 8th a signal was received informing the group that a formation of twin engined Gotha bombers had been sighted near Moncel-sur-Seille, heading for Nancy. The pilots of GC 12, with Guynemer as leading ace, rushed to their machines to intercept the enemy aircraft. Orders: Scramble your flight, intercept and destroy the bombers. Flight plan: You will fly as Guynemer and lead a flight of seven SPAD S.VII scouts. Your aircraft and that of your wingman Chainat are fitted with the new 180 hp engine, the others still have the 150 hp engine. After take-off fly towards Nancy and climb to 2500m. From there set a course NE to Laneuvelotte and search for the enemy bombers. Be aware that escort aircraft have also been sighted. After the intercept, land back at Manoncourt airfield. SYN_Vander Posted November 25, 2025 Author Posted November 25, 2025 (edited) Zeppelin Intercept - quick mission Situation: We received a signal of an enemy Zeppelin flying at approximately 3500 m that was blown off course after a raid and is now trying to get back over it's own lines. Patrol the area marked on the map and intercept the enemy zeppelin. You will start in the air, close to the target. You will fly the SPAD VII, armed with Le Prieur rockets. https://www.mediafire.com/file/4yzr13aakfot7dr/Zeppelin_Intercept.zip/file Edited November 30, 2025 by SYN_Vander 1 2 Quote
SYN_Vander Posted November 30, 2025 Author Posted November 30, 2025 (edited) Target for tonight: Paris - single player mission Situation: Between January and September 1918 the German Gotha bombers flew 483 separate sorties over Paris. March 1918 featured an acceleration in the bomber raids on France's capital. A Gotha raid on Paris on 8 March 1918 resulted in the death of 13 and the injuring of 50 from over 90 bombs dropped. Another raid, on 11 March, caused the death of 34 and injury to another 78 persons. Ten raids in total were mounted against the city during the peak of the air raids, between 8 March and 1 July. You will fly the Gotha G.V. heavy bomber. Your position in the formation is the last of five aircraft. Because of a blunder at the depot, the bombs arrived far too late which delayed the take-off. There was no time to climb very high and by now it's not long until sunrise. Please note you will start this mission in the air, half-way to the target. https://www.mediafire.com/file/xns261ba1b2n648/Target_for_Tonight_-_Paris.zip/file Edited November 30, 2025 by SYN_Vander 1 1 Quote
SYN_Vander Posted November 30, 2025 Author Posted November 30, 2025 (edited) The "Paris Gun" - single player mission Situation: On 23 March 1918 the Germans opened up with the ‘Paris Gun’, actually two weapons, both 210mm railway-mounted cannon, based near Crépy-en-Laonnois, 121 kilometres from the capital. The first shell landed at 7.15 am in the Place de la République; the second, fifteen minutes later in the Rue Charles V; and the third, in the Boulevard de Strasbourg. Over the next twenty-four hours a total of twenty-one shells landed in the city itself, and one in Châtillon. Only by reassembling the fragments did the French work out that they were dealing with artillery and not aircraft. A French reconnaissance plane will try to make accurate photos of the "Paris Gun" near Crépy, so the gun crews can correct their fire in order to destroy it. You will fly one of the escorts in a SPAD XIII; your job is to make sure the two-seater lands safely at the home base to achieve the objective. https://www.mediafire.com/file/t72wvvndrss4v5v/The_Paris_Gun.zip/file Edited December 3, 2025 by SYN_Vander 1 1 Quote
SYN_Vander Posted December 4, 2025 Author Posted December 4, 2025 (edited) Defence of the Reich - single player missions Situation: On 6 June 1918 the Independent Air Force (IAF) of the RAF was formed as a strategic bombing group. The objective of the IAF was, as stated by Trenchard: "The breakdown of the German Army in Germany, its government and the crippling of its sources of supply. Railways are first in order of importance as targets, and next in importance the blast furnaces". In order to meet this growing threat, German defence forces had established a communication network with observation posts and balloon observers. Jasta 18, an experienced and battle hardened unit, was brought in to strengthen the defences of southwest Germany. These missions are based on a real-life bomber raid on June 26th, 1918. In the first mission you fly a Airco D.H.4 in a bomber group with the objective to destroy the Thionville railyard. In the other mission you fly a Fokker DVII where you need to intercept the Allied bombers. To fully experience the missions as intended, please download the following skins from HSD: fd7f_j18_default_rw fd7_j18_default_rw fdr1_j18_raben_late created by the_dudeWG Spoiler Download the missions here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/1vmdgo68e3zu7t0/Defence_of_the_Reich.zip/file Edited December 5, 2025 by SYN_Vander 2 1 Quote
SYN_Vander Posted December 18, 2025 Author Posted December 18, 2025 Ball's last flight with 60 Sqn - single player mission Situation: On 1 October, Ball flew his final sortie with No. 60 Squadron, taking off alone at 0720 hrs for a dawn patrol. With no enemy aircraft in sight, he headed to Lagnicourt and circled the German aerodrome. Three fighters rose to meet him, but using his height advantage he dived to 500 ft, fired at the nearest from 30 yards, and forced it to land while the others withdrew. Climbing back to 8,000 ft, he then intercepted a two-seater over Hamelincourt and compelled it to land as well. You will fly as Captain Albert Ball in Nieuport 17.GBR. See if you can equal his score or do even better! Download the mission here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ilsjyp0r2snnwis/Ball%27s_last_flight_with_60_Sqn.zip/file or download the complete pack, see first post. 1 1 Quote
