Vendigo Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) DOWNLOAD CAMPAIGN (version 6.107b) The beginning of 1942 was the time of new hope for the war-weary people of USSR - the Nazi juggernaut had been finally stopped and repelled westwards away from Moscow. Albeit the Soviet winter offensive culminated in yet another disastrous encirclement of the Red Army, an important strategic victory was nevertheless achieved – Moscow was safe; the German blitzkrieg failed. As it seemed, 1942 promised to be the year when the tide of the war would turn... According to the Soviet High Command, the Kerch Peninsula, recently recaptured by the Red Army, would become the foothold of a determined attack against the enemy in the inner Crimea, redoubled by the troops holding out in the Sevastopol enclave. However, on the other side of the frontline, the German adversaries were preparing the military operation codenamed «Trappenjagd». The objective – clear the Kerch Peninsula of the Red Army with the same kind of a quick and brutal onslaught that had been executed time and again in 1941. The decisive battle over Kerch is about to begin… The 20-mission single player Campaign covers the events that unfolded in the Kerch Peninsula throughout May 1942. The Player’s aircraft: I-16 type 24. Titles required: "Battle of Moscow", "Battle of Kuban". Collector planes required: U-2VS. Installation guide: simply unzip the Campaign file to the Game root directory. Do not rename the folder containing the Campaign files! sandmarken Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Another great campaign, Vendigo. Just about to finish it, and it may be one of the most challenging yet best campaigns out there. Easily good enough for an official title. I had to start using the 20mm halfway through. I didn't get any victories with the rifle calibers. I'm not sure when the Il-16 started to use them historically, but my self-esteem needed it. 😅 1 Quote

I've just run it on autopilot and it's fine, but I think I know the reason behind your freeze - it's the scripted explosion on the airfield (happens exactly 3-4 minutes into the mission, as soon as the shelling of the airfield starts). Btw it's likely that mission no.20 would also freeze for you in the very beginning. The explosion animation must be crashing your game because of an old mod - the same problem was reported in a mission in "Hunter in the snow" and I replaced all scripted explosions and the mission runs fine since then (at least no more problems reported). So I will update the mission no.18 - although I think only a few people would have this problem. UPDATE - Nope, doesn't seem like it. At first I thought ammoexplosion was the culprit, but I checked and it turns out I didn't use it. The object is destroyed with Damage command, and its destruction triggers city_firesmall_loop which must be working properly - so I am not sure what causes your problem @KOKSair Edited Monday at 07:36 PM by Vendigo 1 Quote
