Any mods that address MG bullet hit effects on planes in Flying Circus?

I was exploring this concept a few years ago (see old thread here:  https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/82983-are-there-any-mods-to-lessen-the-visual-effects-of-bullet-strikes-on-fc-aircraft/ ) but never found anything at that time.

 

Does anybody know whether anyone ever created any sort of mod that would address this issue (e.g., the big puffs of smoke/dust on the WWI planes when hit by MG fire)?
