MajorMagee Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) It took me a long time to find the WW1 train mod. What a pain it is to not have a search function in the old Forum... Download Of French Crewed Weapon Assignments For WW1 Train This requires the previous mod to be enabled or it will throw a luascript error when the mission loads. Edited January 2 by MajorMagee Quote
CzechTexan Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Very impressive for one (?) week of work! Maybe we could get some WW2 Soviets and Germans too? Quote

I should have put in a link. It is here in the new forum too under [MOD] AAA mod and mods relating to AAA - Mods and 3rd Party Apps - IL-2 Series Forum The messages are for when the new units get damaged/destroyed. You should be able to just copy the message for the source unit and then adjust it to suit the new one's name. I still haven't found how to include the new units in the end of mission debriefing totals. eg sink one of the new ships and you get credit for the guns but not the ship under ships destroyed. If you figure out how I would be interested to know so I can add that feature to my mods. MajorMagee Posted January 3 Posted January 3 If you have both sets of new Infantry Detachments installed (WW1 and WW2) you will want to use this version of the blacklist file instead of the one I included in the download above. It's installed as DATA\GUI\EditorObjectsBlackList.cfg EditorObjectsBlackList.cfg 2 Quote

All tested and working (Infantry, weapons, vehicles, train cars). I will map these new units to the units / objectives defined in the EMG Generic Template. So if possible please try to avoid changing the names of these units. 1 Quote

After the implementation in the EMG template the missions shown in the video were automaticly generated by EMG. In the very last sequence you see a test Albatross DII strafing attack and I was wounded by the rifle fire of the Romanian / French infantry. 3 1 1 Quote
MajorMagee Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I wonder if I should reduce the specular value for the German crew served weapons and vehicles as well. Their skin looks pretty washed out. 1 Quote
MajorMagee Posted January 3 Posted January 3 (edited) This mod pack includes improvements for all of the default vehicle and artillery crews that had their specular values set too high. It includes some of the ones I included in the previous mod pack to make this one complete for someone not using the new AI units. It's fine to combine them without causing any conflicts. Or just use the WW2 German detachment you created near Christmas? AndreiTomescu Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Around WW1, Brăila was still a small but very cosmopolitan and quite rich city. In the half of the 19th century a "Danube commitee" was formed, formed by representatives from all the major powers interested in transporting/exploiting the Danube River. And so they did. Control of the corresponding part of the river by Bulgaria/Romania started only after ww1. So....the headquarters of this commitee was at Galati, but many offices were also in Brăila. This ment alot of people ( officials and their familys) from all over civilised Europe came here! They brought culture, knowledge, fashion, money into our still underdeveloped country. And thus around ww1, Brăila was a small town, but top notch in terms of development! 1 Quote

Seperate German and Austrian WW1 units would only make sence for me if the Uniforms and Equipments (backpack, belt,..) would look significantly different. But we should not forget that the overall appearance is very US (helmet, M1 Garand).... Quote
MajorMagee Posted January 18 Posted January 18 It would be great if the developer would create a few dedicated models for these detachments, but until then this workaround is all we have. 1 Quote

There was other stuff going on in the Austro-Hungarian empire, for instance. 1 Quote
