Exciting to see new aircraft coming to GB. Anyone got any guesses?

I think
Fw 190 A-9
Fw 190 D-12 or D-13
Bf 109 G-10
Spitfire Mk. XVI

6 new planes… including the two made by third party for the Finnish airforce (Fiat & Buffalo?)?
Then it would be four missing…

I hope the devs are brave enough to invest in time some twin engines like B25, B26 or Ju 188.

Will there be a bigger update in December like mentioned?

I would really like to see some more flyable bombers like the B-25, B-26, or Ju 188.

We already have that one. It is the Mark IX E from the Bodenplatte module with clipped wings. Completely identical to the Mark XVI except for their Merlin not being produced by Packard.

While most Mk. XVI aircraft had clipped wings, they did not all have clipped wings, and some also featured bubble canopies. I could easily see the developers releasing a Mk. XVI as a bubble canopy Merlin Spitfire, like they did with the Mk. XIV to introduce a bubble canopy Griffon Spitfire.

Yep that´s a theoretical possibility. I guess it is as likely as releasing a clipped wing Mark V with Merlin 45 M engine or a Spitfire Mark XII.

...and being able to carry an extra couple of RP-3 60lb rockets if I recall?

Also no major game update?

La7 & IL2 not released in 2025 in early access ?

No WW1 career update in 2025 with the announced new mission types?

Mark IXE from Bodenplatte can do that, though not very common in usage back then.

In terms of news announcements, that's it. There might or might not be an update to GB next week, depending on how things go.

I thought they could carry four though? I might be mistaken.

You know - there are a few areas where I feel like Great Battles could do with fixes (some of which might not even be that hard). There are things I'll never be fully content with.

However, I think that it is worth appreciating that, after essentially announcing development was winding down, they've given us:

- Zeppelins

- Siege and Liberation (two maps)

- 14 aircraft (if we include Siege and Liberation).

...which is pretty impressive!

All while developing Korea and its first expansion!

Am still puzzled by the "new winged engines, and there will be more engines than usual." statement though, is that still relevant? Or this is referring to these 6 collector planes ?

Что там с мультиплеером в Корее? Опять отдадут в руки интузиастов и он будет мертв первые несколько лет?

My understanding of the briefing room episode is that these 6 planes will be useable on the Odessa/Leningrad maps. Or did I get this wrong?

I'd advise against assumptions.

They said, they will not only add the new planes to the Leningrad/Odessa careers, but to other older careers too. That's why I thought the six planes will definetely be useable on these two maps.

I agree. It seems likely the devs would work on planes that would add to their newest work, rather than doing things for older modules. What planes fit that were used in Leningrad/Odessa and other maps we have? 😄 Early soviet bomber prehaps? P36? SU-2?
